AnnaWelcome to Granelli di zucchero!!

Hello, this is Anna writing for you from Trieste, Italy. I am a master’s graduate in International and Diplomatic Studies with a great passion: I love to eat, I love to bake, I love sweets, I love everything that has an irresitible smell of chocolate, I love to combine traditional and innovative elements, I love those delicious French style pastries where sweets look like real jewels and, maybe because of some Austrian genes, I also love Wiener Kaffeehäuser where Sacher Torte is the undisputed protagonist.

I realized that there is something wrong with me when someone asked me: “Vuoi fare la diplomatica?” (“Do you want to be a diplomat?”) and the first thing that came to my mind was the famous italian cake “torta diplomatica” that obviously has nothing to do with diplomacy, but THIS IS ME……Maybe my real diplomatic affairs are others!

I hope you enjoy my recipes,

bon appétit!

  1. I love your blog! The design and photos are fantastic (did you design the background?) I also love the innovative biscuits. I also like the fact you are taking influences from various countries, I am trying to do a similar thing as an English girl bringing little known recipes to Italy, though I have just started and feel like I have a long way to go. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    • Hi Rebecca! Thank you very much for your kind words!! Your “La cucina inglese” is a great idea, with passion and self-belief every project is possible!!! I have designed the background by myself, but in a really “vintage” way : with pencils and a scanner 🙂
I am your follower now, good luck and have fun!
